365体育登录Renowned for its impeccable style and horological know-how, Franck Muller has revealed a completely new approach to the concept of time in a most deliciously teasing manner. The bold and innovative Crazy Hours™ complication has thrilled many watch enthusiasts since its debut in 2003, and this year, The House is proud to present the latest Asia Exclusive Vanguard Crazy Hours™ collection in 2019.
To celebrate this new launch, Franck Muller hosted a “Crazy Hours 24/7” party at Kingston International Centre on 29 March. On the scene were the brand’s Asia Ambassador Julian Cheung Chi-lam and his wife Anita Yuen, and celebrity guests and fashionistas including Simon Yam, Qiqi, Michael Wong, Janet Ma, Kayla Wong, Kadin Wong, Calvin Choy, Winessa Chow, Ray Lui, Xiaojuan Yang, Shirley Cheung, James Shing, Michelle Chua, Heidi Chu, Dickens Lam, Wesley Wong, Florence Tsai, Tianyo Ma, Jimmy Tang, Antonia Cruz, Sarah Zhuang, Shaopin Tsui, etc, mingling with watch connoisseurs, VIP clients and media friends alike. Under one roof and the inspiration of the Crazy Hours, guests came together as they first laid their eyes on the brand new Vanguard Crazy Hours collection amid hearty jubilation.
In the vivacity of “Crazy Hours 24/7”, guests were enraptured all day and night at our ritzy getaway party.
Upon arrival, they were lead into a psychedelic passageway filled with Art Deco neon numerals from the signature Crazy Hours collection.
365体育登录After making it through the mysterious time tunnel, guests arrived at the Little Havana, but the eyes gravitated towards the star of the show: the Vanguard Crazy Hours™, encapsulated in the handsome and elegant Vanguard case for the very first time. With the men’s and ladies case sizes splendidly on display, guests were privy to the cogitatively curved case back, which offers excellent wrist ergonomics.
After being enthralled by the new collection, guests could explore and party in the specially curated zones. First, the Cuban-inspired Little Havana was a space injected with South American vibes replete with old-fashioned Cuban architecture, palm trees and iconic Panama hats. Of course, there was plenty of whisky to go round while guests imbibed the history of Franck Muller’s stellar creations, as a full array of timepieces were exhibited.
The party in the “Day” began at the Beach and Brunch Clubs, where fun inflatables like cactuses, Rosé bottles and donut floats welcomed guests to party in a summer beach setting. Amidst beach umbrellas, towels and giant food props, the All Day breakfast station served crisp waffles, cereal cocktails and craft beers.
365体育登录Later into the evening, Mr. Kingston Chu, Franck Muller Asia Executive Director, together with Mr. Nicholas Rudaz, Chief Operating Officer of Franck Muller Group, greeted gleeful guests with a warm welcome address, and invited all parties to continue into the “Night” in the celebration of the brand new Vanguard Crazy Hours series. Shortly after the unveiling of “Party at Night”, the evening was set alight by Olivia Dawn, who mesmerized the audience with her powerful electric violin renditions and exquisite vocals, perfectly echoing the philosophy of The House – pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking.
365体育登录Guests were guided through a shimmering portal that opened to a party zone. An enormous fuzzy teddy bear greeted guests with a “Bring Me Home” sign. At the drinks station, an emblazoned quote “Trust Me, You Can Dance” challenged guests, and tempted with treats such as mini burgers, churros and bubble cocktails. After filling up on grub and clapping some feet, guests further delighted themselves at several mini game stations like rainbow coin tossing, darts, and classic arcade games – these were all embellished with elements of the Crazy Hours indices.
365体育登录After much fun-filled activities and hilarity, the Crazy Hours 24/7 party concluded as a glorious soiree of surprises and unforgettable memories, as only the spirit of the Franck Muller Crazy Hours can provide.
About Crazy Hours
Launched in 2003, the idea for the Crazy Hours complication came to brand founder Franck Muller while he was on a vacation in Mauritius. The complication comprises a jumping hour module and an automatic movement. While the hour hand jumps to point the correct hour numeral, the minute hand revolves round the dial in a traditional 60-minute cycle. Although the hour numerals seem randomly placed, there is a sequence to the ‘crazy’ hours – each subsequent number is placed at an approximately 120-degree arc away from the preceding number.
